Nobody is paying me for this K18 FutureIQ serum review. K18 sent it through ShopMy with no script and no code, and I’m writing it because a month ago I was searching for exactly this post and couldn’t find it. Instead, every TikTok review was either a two-week check-in or someone’s opinion of the ingredient list. I’m retired, so I get a check whether this goes viral or not. That means I have no reason to tell you anything but what happened on my own scalp.

The Shedding That Started on a GLP-1

I’m on a GLP-1, and I’m still on it, about 60 pounds down and not at my goal yet. I’ll keep the medical side out of this post. Instead, I’ll tell you what I saw in the mirror.

How bad it got

What the box says it does

According to K18, FutureIQ targets three things: shedding, graying, and scalp aging. K18 calls the technology MultiVital, and the brand’s own studies claim fewer grays, more hairs retained, and an improved scalp barrier over three months. I’m quoting their claims here, not confirming them. What I can confirm, however, is what I saw in one month, and that’s below.

Who K18 says it’s for

This is worth reading before you spend the money. Specifically, K18 positions FutureIQ for people with under 30% gray and mild to moderate shedding. If you’re mostly gray or dealing with heavy loss, the brand’s own guidance suggests you’re outside the target. I’m about 10% gray with what I’d call moderate shedding, so I was squarely in the lane.

How I Tested K18 FutureIQ

I want to be specific here, because a lot of the reviews floating around aren’t.

My timeline

K18 gifted three bottles, which is a three-month supply in total. The box arrived on August 10, 2026, and I started a few days later. As of mid September, I’m one month in. I used it every night except one full day and two separate nights that I missed, so call it 27 out of 30 nights. I plan to keep going through all three bottles, and then I’ll update this post at month two and month three.

Exactly how I apply it

K18 says four droppers nightly on the scalp, damp or dry. So here’s how I actually do it. First, one dropper straight down my middle part. Then I split my hair into two sections and do one dropper down each side part. After that, one more around the crown. Some nights I put a little extra on the spot at the back where I noticed the most thinning. Finally, I massage it in with my fingertips. It smells fine, nothing strong, and it also doesn’t leave my hair greasy in the morning.

Does K18 FutureIQ Work? My One Month Results

So here’s the honest answer, split by what K18 claims.

Week one: the shedding changed

Within the first week, my hair stopped coming out in clumps. I noticed it in the brush first. Where I’d been pulling out handfuls, I was suddenly seeing three or four strands. Then I noticed it in the shower drain. I did not expect anything that fast, especially since K18 says to give it three months. And I can’t tell you why it happened that quickly. I can only tell you it did, and so far it hasn’t reversed.

Month one: retention and length

A month in, the shedding is still low. My hair feels like it’s staying put, and meanwhile my length has grown a little. I’m not going to claim regrowth in the thin spot yet, because one month isn’t long enough to know. That’s a month two and three question, and I’ll answer it with photos when I get there.

The one claim I can’t back up yet

My grays look exactly the same. I’m only about 10% gray, so there may not be much for the serum to work on, and K18 says the graying results show up over three months. Still, if you’re buying FutureIQ for the gray claim specifically, I can’t tell you it does anything yet. I’ll be honest about that at month three too, whichever way it goes.

Is K18 FutureIQ Worth Buying?

It isn’t cheap. Because of that, let me be straight about how I think about the money.

What it cost me versus what it fixed

I got mine gifted, but I’ve already decided to buy it with my own money when these three bottles run out. For me, ending the fear of my own hairbrush was worth more than the price of a bottle a month. If your shedding is mild and you’re not bothered, you probably don’t need this. On the other hand, if you’re where I was in Australia, it’s the one thing that changed my situation inside a week.

Who I’d tell to try it

First, anyone on a GLP-1 who is watching their hair thin and has the patience to use it nightly for three months. Also anyone with sudden shedding who has already ruled out an obvious cause.
