The Edit: This post explains ShopMy Travel and Hospitality, the program ShopMy opened to creators in October 2026 that lets you link hotels, resorts, vacation rentals, booking platforms, experiences and car rentals and earn commission on bookings. Direct hospitality Brand Partners pay 5 to 15 percent with cookie windows up to 180 days, Commissionable Partners such as Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, Expedia and Viator pay their own program rates with windows of roughly 7 to 30 days, and hotels can offer hosted stays through Opportunities and Collaborations inside the app. It covers how to link a hotel step by step, how to keep a higher paying direct affiliate program while still routing traffic through ShopMy, how Spotlights lets hotels run ads on existing travel content under the creator’s own handle, and where the program still falls short on bot traffic, hotel tracking and cancellations. Our family moved our hotel links to ShopMy in October 2026 after leaving the TikTok Go program earlier in the year, and this is written for travel creators who assumed ShopMy was not for them and for ShopMy creators adding travel to their shop.

If you’re a travel creator, you’ve probably scrolled right past ShopMy a dozen times and thought… that’s a fashion girl thing.
I get it, because I thought it too. For the last two years the creators winning on ShopMy have been beauty, fashion and home. Hotels, tours, rentals, the stuff that actually pays our bills? Nowhere in the app.
So we did what travel creators have always done. A hosted stay here. Then a Stay22 or Travelpayouts link there. Plus a tour commission through GetYourGuide or Viator. Maybe a TikTok Go campaign if you were feeling brave. And one very tired spreadsheet trying to hold the whole thing together.
ShopMy Insider sent over a talent guide for a program they’re calling Travel and Hospitality, and I read it twice to make sure I wasn’t misunderstanding. The one sentence version is this: linking hotels is now as easy as linking your favorite products.
I’m not going to pretend to be chill about this. This one has me really excited.
I’m a current ShopMy Icon tier creator (the top tier, here’s how I got there) and we lean travel first. Our family has traveled full time since 2018, and I’ve watched the travel side of this industry get the short end of basically every deal. We moved our hotel links over to ShopMy last week. So this is what the program actually is, how to use it, where I think it changes things for us, and the parts that still need work. All of it, including the parts ShopMy might not love me saying out loud.
Brand new to ShopMy? Start with my complete guide to ShopMy for beginners and come back. Already know the platform? Keep reading.
Not on ShopMy yet? Applying through a creator’s referral link skips the waitlist and unlocks a 10 percent commission bonus for both of us for 6 months. Use mine here. Travel creators are exactly who ShopMy is onboarding right now, so this is a good week to do it.
Travel and Hospitality is ShopMy’s expansion into hotels, stays and experiences. Here’s the thing. You could always paste any URL into ShopMy, hotels included. It just didn’t pay you anything. But now it can.
Straight from ShopMy’s creator guide, here’s what’s on the table.
ShopMy says there are over 100 commissionable hospitality partners through their affiliate network, plus a growing list of hotels partnering with them directly. The direct list at launch includes San Ysidro Ranch, The Dunlin (an Auberge resort), Wildflower Farms, Congress Hall, Proper Hotels, White Elephant Aspen, The Newbury Boston, The Joule Dallas, AutoCamp, ResortPass and Epic Pass.
In other words, those aren’t budget brands. That tells you exactly who ShopMy is building this for, and if you create luxury or resort content, that should make you sit up a little.
Every travel partner on ShopMy falls into one of two buckets, and the bucket decides your rate, your cookie window, and whether you can actually work with the hotel. So this part matters.
| Details | Brand Partners | Commissionable Partners |
|---|---|---|
| What they are | Hotels and travel brands that partner directly with ShopMy | Travel brands available through ShopMy’s affiliate network, no direct partnership |
| Examples | San Ysidro Ranch, Proper Hotels, AutoCamp, ResortPass, Epic Pass | Marriott, Hyatt, Hilton, IHG, Expedia, Vrbo, Viator, Hertz |
| Commission | Typically 5 to 15 percent | Set by each brand’s own program |
| Cookie window | Up to 180 days | Roughly 7 to 30 days |
| Opportunities and Collaborations | Yes: hosted stays, dining credits, spa, events | No, commission only |
| Where to find them | Latest tab under Travel and Hospitality in the app | Search the property on ShopMy; if a rate appears, it’s eligible |
If you’ve ever sold a hotel stay, you know nobody books the day they see your video. They save it. Then they send it to their husband. Two months later they come back asking “wait, which resort was that?” So a 7 day window loses almost all of those people. A 180 day window on a direct Brand Partner actually matches how real humans book travel. That’s a big deal.
Some hotel partners only offer commissionable links to invited talent, so a rate might not show for you even though it shows for someone else. ShopMy’s guide says this plainly. Don’t assume a missing rate means the hotel isn’t on the platform.
This works exactly like linking a product. You can use + Link on desktop, the ShopMy app, Snapshop, or the Safari extension. If you’ve linked a lip gloss, you can link a hotel.
Want a hotel to join ShopMy directly? You can submit a brand request inside the app.
We linked our own hotels this way last week: Marriott properties like St. Regis and Westin, and Hyatt properties like Hyatt House and Hyatt Regency. And the clicks registered almost immediately. On some of the other travel platforms I’ve used, I was never totally sure a click had even been counted. Here it shows up as soon as it happens, and I didn’t realize how much I needed that until I had it.
Okay. Transparency time, because travel creators are going to ask and you should.
If you’ve been running hotel links through Stay22, Travelpayouts, or a hotel group’s own affiliate program, you may already have a better split on certain brands than ShopMy’s Commissionable Partner rate. Still, I’m not going to post exact numbers. But on at least one major hotel group, what I had elsewhere was higher. I’m not going to hide that from you.
This is the distinction almost nobody understands about ShopMy, and I want you to really hear it. ShopMy is an open platform. You can paste any link into it, including your own direct affiliate link from another program, and toggle off ShopMy’s monetization on that one link. ShopMy then just tracks the click. You keep the full commission from your direct program, and the traffic still shows up in your ShopMy dashboard and still counts toward your creator score.
In fact, I already do this with brands that aren’t on ShopMy and with brands where I’ve a direct deal. It’s the same reason I keep saying ShopMy and LTK aren’t really competitors. They run parallel, they function differently, and ShopMy can house everything. You’re not picking one or the other. You’re picking where the picture gets drawn.
My husband Alex put it this way, and it stuck with me. If there’s one path through the woods to a hotel, you meet the people on that path. If there are five trails that all end at the same hotel, you run into a lot more people. So routing all your travel traffic through one platform, even the links you’re not monetizing through ShopMy, means every click builds one picture of what you drive. That picture is what hotels and brands see. And it’s a much prettier picture when it’s all in one place.
Here’s the headache every travel creator knows by heart. You want to pitch a hotel. So you build a media kit, screenshot your Instagram insights, pull a report from your blog, export something from Stay22, and then pray the marketing manager actually reads any of it.
On ShopMy, brands see your Talent Card. Your tier, your sales, your conversion rate and your traffic, all in one place, pulled from real data instead of a PDF you designed in Canva at midnight. A creator with 300,000 followers and no sales reads very differently than a creator with a smaller audience who averages three to six orders a day. That’s the number that gets you the deal, and now it’s just… there.
ShopMy ranks creators Enthusiast, Ambassador, Trendsetter and Icon based on sales, traffic, activity and referrals, not followers (here’s the Trendsetter fast track). Once you hit Trendsetter, you can message brands directly inside the app and request gifting and Opportunities one on one. No cold emails, no hoping somebody checks the DMs. As an Icon, I’m building brand relationships in my ShopMy inbox every single week, and honestly it has been one of my favorite parts of the platform.
If you already convert hotel bookings from your blog or your link in bio, you’re going to climb these tiers fast. After all, hotel bookings are big orders. And once you’re a Trendsetter or Icon, every beauty, fashion and home brand on ShopMy can see you too. The suitcase brand sees you. So does the sunscreen brand. So does the resort wear brand. All from the same score. That’s the part that gets me.
ShopMy’s guide doesn’t say whether hotel bookings count toward your creator score separately or lumped in with products. Still, my read is that it all feeds one score right now. Brands may eventually want travel and product metrics split out, and I’d not be surprised if ShopMy does that down the road. I’ll update this when I know.
This is the part where travel creators should get excited. Like, actually excited.
Hospitality Brand Partners can offer Opportunities and Collaborations inside ShopMy that include hosted hotel stays, dining and beverage credits, spa and wellness treatments, on property activities, and invitations to events from restaurant openings to co-hosted experiences. From there, the hotel coordinates dates, guest details and deliverables with you in ShopMy Chat. And you can still earn commission on bookings your content drives, on top of the hosted stay. Both. At the same time.
Two cautions straight from the guide. Travel expenses to get to the property usually aren’t covered, and most hospitality partnerships are local, so read each Opportunity before you say yes. These come with deliverables, like any collab. Nobody is handing out free overwater bungalows for a single story.
Every travel creator has an inbox full of “we’d love to host you” messages and zero way to tell which ones are real. I can’t tell you how many hours I’ve lost to that. On ShopMy, the request comes from a verified brand account inside the platform. It lands in your inbox, your DMs, your feed, and you can trust it because it’s on the platform. That alone is worth signing up for.
I’ve not received a hospitality Opportunity yet. After all, the program is weeks old. But product gifting through ShopMy ships the day you accept a lookbook, no back and forth, and I fully expect hotels to run just as smoothly once they’re set up.
If you’ve not read my Spotlights walkthrough, here’s the short version. A brand on ShopMy can take content you already posted, put their own ad spend behind it, and run it as an ad under your handle with your affiliate link in it. You approve or decline every request, the brand can’t edit your content, your commission rate is locked the moment you approve, and you can pause anytime.
Now think about what that means with hotels on the platform. ShopMy’s system already scans your posts for brand mentions. Every St. Regis reel, every Marriott property, every Westin room tour you’ve ever posted that did well is just sitting there. Once that hotel is a ShopMy partner, they can see how it performed and put money behind it. As a result, content you made a year ago can start earning again, on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok, from one original post. And the ad runs from your account, so people see your face, not a brand page nobody clicks through on. You did the work once. It keeps working.
This is the honest comparison to TikTok Go, and I know people are going to ask, so let’s just go there. I was in TikTok Go and I left earlier this year. The idea was similar: you make a travel video, tag the hotel or the platform, and the brand runs ads on it. The problems were real, though. First, it only lived on TikTok. You couldn’t see your conversions clearly. You couldn’t talk to the brand, only to TikTok Go staff who weren’t close to the campaign. And brands could keep running your content as long as they wanted, with no real control on your end.
Spotlights, by comparison, is the same concept with the creator side fixed. You see the dashboard. You can decline, and you can pause. And if a hotel’s Spotlight on your content is clearly working, you can open the brand’s chat and ask for a paid extension directly. So no, TikTok Go doesn’t compare to the whole Travel and Hospitality program. It only compares to this one piece, and this piece is better.
Some creators feel brands should pay for the content itself, not just the ad spend, and I get it. In a perfect world, yes. But the content already exists. You already said what you said about that hotel. There’s nothing to lose by letting it run, and if you want more, ask the brand. You finally can.
I’ve been gifted well over 150 times on ShopMy without ever once pitching a brand, and I wrote a whole post on how gifting works. What I want travel creators to hear is that a lot of it was travel.
A suitcase. Cadence capsules for toiletries. Travel size versions of beauty products I actually use on the road. Dresses, swim and jewelry I wore at the resorts that show up in our hotel reviews. The content got better because the products matched the trips. And the brands got content from a Bora Bora overwater bungalow instead of a living room. Everybody won.
Now put hotels in the same app. A fashion or beauty creator who lands a hosted stay can tag three or four of her product brands from that trip, and every one of them sees it. A travel creator who already converts hotel bookings gets visibility with the product brands she packs. This is the bridge between lifestyle and travel that nobody has built before, and ShopMy built it inside one platform. I’ve been waiting for this.
I said I’d be honest, so here’s the list. It’s not short.
We’re dealing with it on our own links right now. Specifically, inflated non human clicks drag down the conversion rate on your Talent Card, and ShopMy still has to solve that. I’ve a support ticket open. It’s annoying.
ShopMy says it plainly in their guide, and it matches our experience everywhere. A booking might not track if the traveler finished on another site or a credit card portal, clicked another affiliate link first, switched devices, booked after the cookie expired, used loyalty points or a member rate, or cancelled. Travel is also the category where people book a trip and then cancel inside the window. It just is. And it’s not only us. Stay22 published a case study from a travel blogger whose hotel cancellation rate ran 19 to 23 percent across every program he tracked, hit 46 percent on his global travel blog, and cost him about $2,500 in a single year. He also points out that every service reports a cancelled booking differently, so you can’t even tell how much you lost. That’s the travel category in a nutshell.
On the travel platforms we used before this, we sent a ton of clicks. Yet very few turned into bookings. Of the ones that did, more than half were later refunded or just… disappeared. No note, no reason, gone. And that’s not a knock on one platform. It’s every affiliate program. You’re at the mercy of what they tell you, and you’ve to trust them to pay out. It’s why I’ll not link Amazon anymore except through LTK, after Amazon took away the metric that showed where clicks were even coming from. On ShopMy, at least, a refund shows up as a refund in your dashboard. I don’t think ShopMy has hit the cancellation problem at scale with hotels yet, and it’s going to be interesting to see how they handle it.
For example, our hotel links have historically converted around 3 to 5 percent, against 15 to 20 percent on beauty and fashion. The 180 day cookie helps, but set your expectations. Travel commissions can also sit pending until the guest completes the stay and the brand approves it. If you’re used to Friday payouts on skincare, a hotel booked for next summer is going to feel slow.
Also, flights barely pay. Some airlines offer 0 percent, and ShopMy themselves say to prioritize accommodations and experiences. Brands can’t currently see your travel performance separately from your product performance, and I think that’s coming. And it’s new. Features will change. So will this post.
This one applies to travel and products alike, and I see creators blaming ShopMy for it constantly. If your commissions “aren’t showing up,” check your links. ShopMy is an open platform. If you clicked a coupon site, a Google sponsored result, or a brand’s own ad before you grabbed the URL, those tracking parameters ride along inside your ShopMy link and the sale credits to them, not you. I’ve caught this on my own links. Clean URLs only. And returns and cancellations wipe the commission, so don’t link things that are likely to come back.
We moved our hotel links over to ShopMy the week of October 20, 2026. So far, we’re seeing clicks. No bookings yet, and honestly I’d not expect any this fast on a travel link. We’ve not built out a Travel or Itineraries section in our shop yet either. ShopMy’s guide suggests organizing by destination (Where to Stay, Where to Eat, What to Do) the way creators like Caley-Rae Pavillard have, and that’s my plan.
I’m not telling you to pull everything out of Stay22 or whatever you use today. After all, Stay22 has its own strengths. I’m telling you to test this, route your traffic through one place even if you keep your direct commissions, and watch what happens to your tier and your inbox. I’ll come back here with real numbers when I’ve them. You know I’ll.
This is my opinion, not anything ShopMy has said. There are apps like Trybe where you make content that never hits your own feed and brands license it for ads. The moment ShopMy lets brands license creator content as ads the same way, on top of Spotlights and gifting and hotels, it’s game over for the rest of this space. Given how fast they moved on travel, I don’t think that’s far off… and I can’t wait!
Step one is to apply through our ShopMy referral link. A creator referral skips the waitlist and unlocks a 10 percent commission bonus for both of us for 6 months. Once you’re approved, work through the full ShopMy creator series at the bottom of this post, starting with the beginners guide, then come back here and add your hotels.
No. ShopMy referrals work through a link, not a code. Apply through our ShopMy referral link and the referral attaches to your account automatically.
ShopMy’s program, launched October 2026, that lets creators link hotels, resorts, vacation rentals, booking platforms, experiences and car rentals, earn commission on bookings, and receive hosted stays and other partnerships from hospitality brands inside the app.
Paste the hotel’s official website URL into ShopMy using + Link, the app, Snapshop or the Safari extension. If a commission rate appears, the hotel is eligible. If not, find the same property on Expedia or Booking.com and paste that page instead.
Hotels that partner directly with ShopMy typically pay 5 to 15 percent. Hotel groups and booking platforms available through ShopMy’s affiliate network set their own rates, which vary by brand.
Yes. There’s no follower minimum, hotels link the same way products do, and you can keep any direct hotel affiliate program you already have by turning off ShopMy monetization on that link. Bookings convert slower than products, so pair hotels with the gear and outfits you travel with.
Commission on hotel, rental, experience and transportation bookings, commission on the travel products and outfits they link, hosted stays and credits through Opportunities and Collaborations, Spotlights revenue when a hotel runs ads on their existing content, and referral bonuses for bringing other creators onto the platform.
Hospitality Brand Partners can offer hosted stays, dining credits, spa treatments and event invitations through Opportunities and Collaborations. These usually come with content deliverables, often don’t cover travel to the property, and open up once you reach Trendsetter tier and can chat with brands directly.
Yes. Bookings made through your links can pay commission in addition to your partnership benefits, subject to the terms of that collaboration.
The traveler may have booked through another site, a credit card portal or a travel agent, clicked a different affiliate link first, switched devices, booked after the cookie window closed, used loyalty points or a member rate, or cancelled. Travel tracking is less reliable than product tracking on every platform.
Some airlines and booking platforms do, but flight commissions are low and some are zero. Focus on accommodations and experiences.
Yes. ShopMy positions it as a way for advisors to earn on recommendations shared through social media, newsletters and destination guides with followers who book independently, alongside their agency bookings.
TikTok Go only runs on TikTok, gives you limited visibility into conversions, routes communication through TikTok Go staff, and gives brands long term use of your content. ShopMy’s Spotlights, the closest comparison, runs your content on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok from one post, shows you every click and order, lets you approve, decline or pause, and lets you message the brand directly.
If you’re already on ShopMy, open the Latest tab, look for Travel and Hospitality, and start pasting your hotel links in. Check for a direct rate first, fall back to Expedia or Booking.com, and put the links somewhere people can actually find them again.
Not on ShopMy yet? This is the moment travel creators have been waiting for. Applying through a creator referral skips the waitlist and unlocks a 10 percent commission bonus for both of us for 6 months. Apply through my referral here. Once you’re in, the rest of this series will walk you through everything else.
Got a question about any of this? Leave it in the comments below. I see those every single day, and I’ll answer you here way faster than I can on social where the noise is louder. And if you want to go deeper on any piece of the platform, the full series is right below.
I’m rooting for you.
Here’s the whole series in one place so you can find what you need next. You’re reading the bolded one.
