Ontu Body Wash Cleansing Oil and Softening Lotion: My PR Unboxing
The Edit: Ontu is a body care line that calls itself facial grade skincare for your body, sold at Target and Target.com. Amanda’s PR box held two full size products. The Ontu Body Wash Cleansing Oil is an oil to milk body cleanser with 50% glycerin and a triple oil complex of jojoba, sunflower seed and rosehip oils. It is sulfate free and pH balanced, and the brand says it rinses clean without leaving skin stripped or tight. The Ontu Softening Lotion is a fast absorbing body lotion made with shea butter and sweet almond oil, and the brand says it is clinically proven to hydrate for up to 24 hours. Both are 14 fl oz, 414 mL, in pump bottles. Both carry the brand’s signature Vanilla Musk scent, described as sheer vanilla, translucent woods and warm musk. All Ontu formulas are vegan, cruelty free, dermatologist tested, sensitive skin safe and free of parabens, phthalates, dyes and aluminum.

Why These Landed on My Counter
This was a PR package from Ontu through ShopMy, sent so we could try the line. I got the body wash cleansing oil and the softening lotion, both full size. The box is beautiful. The bottles have this stucco looking bottom, and the pumps squirt out fine. I used them in the shower a few times before my daughter Addison snatched both and took them to college.
What Does the Ontu Body Wash Cleansing Oil Smell Like?
Vanilla musk. I was worried about how musky it would actually be, and it’s not crazy musky. It leans more toward a nutty, Brazilian style vanilla than a subtle vanilla, with a musk undertone. It isn’t super girly, and it isn’t masculine either. It’s nice, and I’ll use it. It’s just not my favorite at the moment. I’m a 7 Summers girlie right now. Addison liked it a lot, though.
Ontu Softening Lotion: First Impressions
Same Vanilla Musk scent as the body wash, so the two layer together. The pump bottle works, and the lotion is the one Addison was most excited to take with her. She has both bottles now.
What I’m Watching For
Whether the scent grows on me, and whether it holds up for Addison through a full bottle of each. She’s the one using them now, so she gets the final word.
