The Edit: This post is a firsthand Agent Nateur review by Amanda of Salty Vagabonds, who tested seven products priced from $26 to $99 from the luxury clean beauty brand Jena Covello founded in 2015 in West Hollywood, California. It covers the holi (glow) ageless eye and lip serum and the holi (locks) silk peptide leave-in repair, both gifted through ShopMy, and the holi (mane) marine collagen, calm (beauty) daily supplement, holi (stick) Sensitive deodorant, holi (pearly) whites toothpaste, and holi (wash) body cleanser, all bought herself, with how each one smells, tastes, performs, and travels. Her verdict: the eye and lip serum, calm (beauty), and the leave-in repair are repurchases, holi (stick) Sensitive lists no baking soda or aluminum and is her top clean deodorant, holi (mane) has the least taste of any collagen she has tried, and the main drawbacks are the price and an all sales final return policy. The active Agent Nateur promo code is SALTYVAGABONDS10 for 10% off at agentnateur.com, verified active for October 2026. Written for clean beauty and luxury skincare shoppers deciding whether Agent Nateur is worth it.

Agent Nateur gifted the eye and lip serum and the leave-in repair through ShopMy. I bought the other five products myself. Our opinions are our own.
Some brands you notice long before you try them. Agent Nateur was on the shelves at Erewhon. It was also all over my feed, well before it reached my own bathroom.
I came to it slowly. Over the past few years, I’ve been replacing my routine with cleaner formulas, one piece at a time. Merit for makeup. Innersense for my hair. Primally Pure beside them. I have PCOS, and that is what began it. I share more of that story in my GLP-1 review.
People assume this way of living costs more. In my experience, though, the beautiful things last longer, so you buy less. I’ve also felt better since I made the change. That’s simply what I’ve noticed, living it.
Agent Nateur began in a West Hollywood kitchen. Jena Covello, then a footwear designer, founded it in 2015. She has endometriosis and adenomyosis, and she has spoken openly about years of pain and surgeries. A naturopath suggested she try a natural deodorant. However, nothing on the shelf worked for her. So she made her own.
It reportedly took nine months and some 200 batches. That formula became holi (stick), the brand’s first product. BeautyMatter reports she launched with $300 and 5,000 empty containers.
After the launch, Covello studied natural cosmetics and fragrance in Grasse, France. Today the brand says it formulates between Grasse, Paris, and Los Angeles. It remains privately owned, with Covello still at the helm. Covello doesn’t compromise on ingredients. The brand says it starts with high quality ingredients from small, transparent suppliers, and many of its key actives come from small batch French makers. It leaves out aluminum, parabens, sulfates, and petroleum, and it says every product is cruelty free.
holi (mane) is the brand’s number one seller, a marine collagen created with functional medicine practitioner Dr. Will Cole. Covello’s mother, Marcella, inspired it. In May 2024, Kylie Jenner shared an Erewhon run with Stassie Karanikolaou, and the Agent Nateur collagen was in her haul. The brand also counts Hailey Bieber among its fans. You’ll also find it at Erewhon and Violet Grey, which tells you exactly where it sits.
Agent Nateur invited me to choose two pieces from their lookbook. I passed over the supplements at first. The eye and lip serum intrigued me. The leave-in repair spoke to me right away, because I’m in the middle of bringing my hair back. More on that below.
I’ll admit I was a little nervous. A brand that lives at Erewhon is rarely modest in price.
That is the one risk of being gifted something this lovely. You fall for it. Then you find yourself buying it again. I’m only half joking, because Agent Nateur did exactly that to me. After two products, I read everything I could about the brand. Then I placed my own order.
The holi (glow) ageless eye and lip serum is where it all began. I adore it.
Imagine slicing a fresh cucumber and laying the cool slices over your eyes. That is the scent, exactly. Cucumber water is the first ingredient on the list. It is bold, though. If cucumber isn’t for you, this won’t be either.
I pump out a little and press it beneath my eyes. It sinks in quickly. Then it does something unexpected. It begins as a serum and settles into something closer to a balm. The brand describes a gel serum with a balm finish, and that is just how it feels.
Whatever remains on my fingertips goes onto my lips. The brand’s own directions include them too.
I reach for it every day. My under eyes look brighter to me. The lines around my eyes and my smile lines look softer too. Even my lips look a little fuller.
Before this, my favorite was the Golden Glow Eye Balm from Sahajan. This replaced it almost at once. It now sits in my top 10 on our site, and I will buy it again.
A little context first. I’ve been on a GLP-1 for almost two years. The weight came off, and a great deal of my hair went with it. Now I’m patiently bringing it back. So a silk peptide leave-in repair had my full attention.
Shedding too? My K18 FutureIQ serum review follows everything I use for it, with monthly updates. You’ll also find our full K18 hair review.
The holi (locks) silk peptide leave-in repair is a lightweight leave-in. The brand says it’s silicone free, with Japanese silk peptides and keratin as key ingredients. I work two to five pumps through my hair, from the middle down to the ends. Then I style as usual. I keep it away from my scalp.
Here is my one wish. I’d love a more beautiful scent. It doesn’t smell of chemicals. It simply doesn’t smell of much, and it doesn’t linger in my hair. The label lists a natural fragrance of ylang ylang, jasmine, and rose. I only want more of it.
My hair is long. It falls to the middle of my back, so the ends are still my older hair. Since I began using this, there’s more shine. The texture feels better, and a brush moves through more softly too. I like it very much, and I will buy it again.
I passed over the collagen when I chose my gifted pieces. Still, I had watched Kylie Jenner pick it up at Erewhon. So once the first two won me over, it went straight into my cart.
holi (mane) has just two ingredients: marine collagen and pearl powder. The brand says the collagen comes from wild caught North Atlantic cod, pollock, and haddock. One scoop holds 8 grams of protein, and the label suggests two to three scoops a day. The brand also says it carries more than 30 trace minerals.
It’s sold as a hair, skin, and nails supplement. I can’t yet tell you what it’s doing beneath the surface. However, I can tell you how it tastes.
The brand calls it odorless and nearly tasteless. That is close, but not quite true for me. There is still a whisper of taste, along with a slight aftertaste. I also catch a faint scent as I lift my cup. I’m very sensitive to smell, so keep that in mind.
Even so, of every collagen I’ve tried, this one has the least taste. It’s my number one for that. The powder is very fine, and it dissolves beautifully.
It’s at its best in coffee. It even makes my cup a little creamier. I tried it in a smoothie once and didn’t love it, although that may have been the smoothie. Tea is still on my list.
The brand says holi (mane) has a naturally gelatinous texture. So it takes a little longer to blend than most collagen powders. They even make a frother for it, the holi (blend) precision frother. That fits the creamier cup I mentioned.
Covello shared her own ritual in a reel. She blends three scoops with a shot of espresso and maple butter until it’s smooth and creamy. Three scoops sounds intimidating if you’re just getting into collagen, and her comments agreed. For what it’s worth, the label suggests two to three a day. Then again, her skin is flawless and she glows, so I’ll do what I need to do. Naturally, I ordered the maple butter. I’ll update this once I’ve tried it her way.
Prefer something colder? The brand also shares its Erewhon spicy chocolate collagen smoothie. It blends holi (mane) with cacao, almond butter, banana, maple syrup, and a dusting of cayenne. Then a whipped cream top finishes it.
calm (beauty) is the one I didn’t expect to fall for.
It’s a liquid supplement in single sachets. My box holds a 24 day supply. The flavor comes from organic tart cherry juice concentrate. The label lists magnesium citrate, glycine, taurine, L-theanine, GABA, 5-HTP, and spermidine, along with a few vitamins. It’s also melatonin free, according to the brand.
One note from the label is worth knowing. The brand says 5-HTP can interact with antidepressants, so check with your doctor first.
The first sachet surprised me. It tastes of tart cherry, with a little aftertaste. After about a week, though, something shifted. Now it’s a small evening ritual I look forward to.
Sleep has never come easily to me. So I take one sachet at night. I grow sleepy, and I feel ready for bed. That’s my experience, not a promise. I will be ordering more.
I’m always searching for a clean deodorant. Most let me down in one of two ways. First, it has to work and still smell good. Second, so many of them darken my skin.
Agent Nateur began as a deodorant, so my hopes were high. The holi (stick) deodorant comes in two versions. Mine is Sensitive. Its ingredient list has no baking soda and no aluminum. The Extra Strength version does list baking soda, so check which one is in your cart.
I chose Cap d’Antibes without realizing there were other scents. It isn’t the one I would have picked. The brand describes it as a swim on the French Riviera, with peach, cherry, rose, and coconut. It’s romantic. On my skin, I can’t quite place it. It’s pleasant, though. Next time I’ll explore another.
It works. By evening, I still smell clean. It glides on without any stickiness, and it never burns. Best of all, it hasn’t darkened my skin.
Before this, we used Primally Pure, a company I truly like. However, their sticks soften and turn a little sticky after about a month. They also darkened my skin slightly. Then Salt Air gifted us theirs. I enjoyed it at first. After about a month, though, it began to burn, so it can’t be an everyday choice for me.
So my clean deodorant ranking is simple: Agent Nateur first, then Salt Air, then Primally Pure.
The holi (pearly) whites toothpaste is the quiet one of the group. It’s fluoride free and uses hydroxyapatite instead. The label also lists Manuka honey, pearl powder, clove, peppermint, cinnamon bark, and a probiotic. The brand calls the flavor minty sweet.
My teeth feel clean afterward, and the taste is pleasant. I’ve used it for a few weeks, with plenty still in the tube. However, I haven’t seen a whitening difference yet compared to the brand I used before. So this isn’t a rave, and it isn’t a complaint. So far, so good.
The tube is 3.04 ounces, or 90 ml. That means it slips right into a carry on.
I nearly left this one out, and I use it constantly. The holi (wash) body cleanser is a body wash that also exfoliates. The label lists lactic acid and peony root extract. According to the brand, it moves from a gel to an oil to a creamy foam.
I bought it for the small bumps on my arms. The brand names keratosis pilaris on the product page as one of the things it’s made for. Since I began using it, I’ve noticed an improvement in my skin.
To me, it smells of almond. There is sweet almond oil in the formula. The brand describes the scent as woody and floral, with sandalwood and rose. It isn’t my favorite scent, but it’s pleasant enough. The product works, so I keep using it.
The bottle is 6.8 ounces, which is too large for a carry on. More on that below.
The eye and lip serum is the star. It does two jobs beautifully, and I use it daily. The Sensitive deodorant also solved both of my deodorant problems. The collagen has the least taste of any I’ve tried. Meanwhile, calm (beauty) became an evening ritual. The leave-in brought shine and softness to my long hair.
I also admire the story behind it. Covello made this line for herself first, and she’s exacting about what goes into it. After years of choosing cleaner formulas, that matters to me.
The price is the obvious one. This is an Erewhon brand, and it’s priced like one. The eye serum and the collagen sit at the top of the range.
Second, the brand’s return policy page says all sales are final. It only offers exchanges within 30 days. That gave me pause before I ordered. I went ahead anyway, because I had already tried two products and loved both.
Scent is the last one. The leave-in is faint, the body wash isn’t my favorite, and the cucumber is bold. Also, the “nearly tasteless” collagen still has a hint of taste.
Agent Nateur is for the woman who would rather own fewer, better things. It suits you if you already choose cleaner formulas and you’re willing to invest in them. It suits you if you want one eye product that also cares for your lips. Do baking soda deodorants bother you? This belongs on your shelf too. It also suits anyone who wants a collagen that all but disappears into coffee.
It isn’t for everyone, though. Skip it if you’re watching your budget closely. Skip the eye serum if you dislike cucumber. If you want a rich, lasting scent in your hair, the leave-in won’t give you that. Finally, if you need a flexible return policy, read theirs first.
Yes, nearly all of it. We have traveled full time since 2018, so anything I love has to pack well.
The toothpaste is 3.04 ounces, so it goes straight into my carry on. The deodorant is a solid stick. Meanwhile, calm (beauty) comes in single sachets, which is about as effortless as travel gets. The brand also offers holi (mane) in travel sachets. I have the bag, so I haven’t tried those.
The body wash is the exception at 6.8 ounces. So we decant it into Cadence capsules. They’re what our family uses to carry our favorite products on every trip. They’re beautiful too. A full review of those is coming.
Yes. Three are certain repurchases: the eye and lip serum, calm (beauty), and the leave-in repair. The deodorant stays too, and I’ll choose a new scent when this stick is finished. I’m keeping the collagen and the body wash in my rotation. The toothpaste is perfectly fine, so I’ll finish the tube before I decide.
This is the first brand in a long while that has truly excited me. I love the philosophy, and I love the care behind every ingredient.
The magnesium is next. I had planned to buy it. Then I told the brand about this review, and they sent it along with a few more favorites. They’re on their way now. I’ll update this post once I’ve used them long enough to have an opinion.
My own wish list keeps growing too. Next, I’d love to try the holi (sun) spf 50 dewy tinted skin drops. The holi (growth) 84 leave-in hair growth scalp spray and the holi (bright) resurface glass face mask are right behind it.
Not sure where to begin? The brand also offers a Skin Longevity Discovery Kit. It gathers six of its skincare pieces in deluxe and travel sizes, plus a sachet of calm (beauty). I haven’t tried the kit myself. Still, it lets you sample the line before you commit to full sizes.
Shopping for someone else? The brand offers gift cards too.

For me, yes. I was gifted two products and then bought five more myself. If you want a place to begin, start where I did, with the eye and lip serum and the leave-in repair.
The brand calls it nearly tasteless. I still notice a whisper of taste and a slight aftertaste. However, it has the least taste of any collagen I’ve tried. It’s at its best in coffee.
Agent Nateur holi (mane) has two ingredients: marine collagen and pearl powder. The brand says the collagen comes from wild caught cod, pollock, and haddock. It’s sold as a hair, skin, and nails supplement.
It depends on the version. The Sensitive holi (stick) has no baking soda on its ingredient list. The Extra Strength version does list it. Neither one lists aluminum. I use Sensitive.
No. The holi (pearly) whites toothpaste is fluoride free. It uses hydroxyapatite instead.
Yes. The brand’s directions include lips. I press it beneath my eyes first. Then I put what remains on my lips.
It’s a tart cherry liquid supplement in single sachets. The brand says it’s melatonin free. I take one at night.
I haven’t tried holi (mag) yet, so I can’t say. It’s on its way to me now. I’ll update this post after I’ve used it.
I haven’t used either one. I only review what I’ve personally tried.
Mostly, yes. The toothpaste is 3.04 ounces, and calm (beauty) comes in sachets. The body wash is 6.8 ounces, so I decant it into Cadence capsules.
The brand’s return policy page says all sales are final. It offers exchanges within 30 days. Read the policy before you order.
You can buy it at agentnateur.com, where our code SALTYVAGABONDS10 works. Erewhon and Violet Grey carry it too.
Agent Nateur is an investment, and I reordered anyway. That says a great deal. After years of slowly choosing cleaner, more beautiful formulas, I’m selective about what stays. The eye and lip serum, calm (beauty), and the Sensitive deodorant have all earned their place.
Would I recommend it to a friend? Yes. Start where I did, with the eye and lip serum, and let it win you over.
Curious what else I’m using for my hair? Read my K18 FutureIQ serum review next.
