The Edit: Dr Idriss is a fragrance free skincare line from board certified dermatologist Dr. Shereene Idriss, founder of Idriss Dermatology in New York City. The brand says every product is clinically tested, dermatologist tested, allergy tested and cruelty free. This PR unboxing covers two giftings, each from a different line. The first is the Major Fade line for dark spots and dullness. The Major Fade Flash Mask is a 1.7 oz AHA mask with 15% glycolic acid, 3% lactic acid and tranexamic acid. You leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, up to three nights a week. The Major Fade Hyper Serum is a 0.96 oz twist pen with alpha arbutin, kojic acid and 5% niacinamide. It ships with two sealed cartridges. The Major Fade Active Seal is a 1.7 oz vitamin C and glutathione gel cream in an airless pump. Used together, the mask, serum and Active Seal make up the Major Fade Solution System. The brand says to use the serum and Active Seal morning and night and finish mornings with SPF 30 or higher. The second is the Left Un-Red line for the look of redness, and both of its products are accepted by the National Rosacea Society. The Left Un-Red Reducer Serum is a pen with a 10% azelaic acid complex and a replaceable refill cartridge. The Left Un-Red CalmBack Cream is a green night cream with zinc PCA, colloidal oatmeal and ceramides. The brand sells the two together as the Left Un-Red Redness Duo. You can buy Dr. Idriss at Sephora and on dridriss.com.

| My concern | This brand is brand new to me, so I’m going in blind |
| Where to buy | Sephora and dridriss.com |
Dr. Idriss gifted these through ShopMy. All thoughts and first impressions are my own.
Dr Idriss sent me two boxes back to back. I’ll be honest, I didn’t know anything about this brand before these showed up. So I’m getting to know them right along with you.
The Major Fade box was an easy yes because I’m really working on my dark spots right now. I grabbed the redness box with Alex in mind, so he’ll be the one testing the Reducer Serum.
The first thing I noticed when I opened them was the color. The redness line comes in green and the Major Fade line comes in purple. The packaging overall is so pretty.
The Major Fade Flash Mask is probably the one I’ll try first, since dark spots are my focus. It comes in a purple plastic tube and you just squirt it out.
Dr. Idriss says to use it up to three nights a week on clean, dry skin. You put on a thin layer, avoid your eyes, leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse. If you have sensitive skin, the brand says to start at 5 minutes and work up from there.
The Major Fade Hyper Serum is a pen, and it comes with a refill. I really like that. A lot of brands don’t do refills.
You twist the pen to turn it on, and each click gives you one pump. The brand says to use 2 to 4 pumps morning and night, then follow with Active Seal.
The Major Fade Active Seal is a vitamin C gel moisturizer. You press it down to get it out, and you can mix it with your serum if you want.
It’s the third piece of the Major Fade routine. So with the mask, the serum and Active Seal, they really did send me all three steps.
The Left Un-Red Reducer Serum is accepted by the National Rosacea Society. It’s a redness relief serum, and like the Hyper Serum, it comes with a refill. You just swap the new cartridge into the pen.
Since there’s a refill in the box, I’m guessing that adds real value for the price. This is the one Alex is going to try.
The Left Un-Red CalmBack Cream is a soothing comfort cream. It does that thing where you press down and the cream blooms up into a little bowl. The first time I saw this was with Beekman 1802. You can add your other serums into the bowl and swirl them together, so you can basically make your own skincare cocktail.
I wondered if I was missing a product from the redness line. It turns out Left Un-Red is just these two pieces, the serum and this cream, and the brand sells them together as a duo.
This brand is new to me, so I really don’t know yet how any of it will work on my skin. I’m doing skincare every night right now and I have a couple bottles I’m trying to finish first. As soon as those are empty, I’ll move into these, starting with the Major Fade line for my dark spots.
I’ll update this post with a full review once I’ve actually used them. Stay tuned.
