The oval roller shape is patent pending and designed to create lift and a soft wave instead of a round curl. Both products are sold at maneivy.com.

Mane Ivy Hair Tools I Picked From the Lookbook
This box came to me as a gifting through ShopMy, and I picked both items myself from the Mane Ivy lookbook. I had honestly never heard of the brand before, which is part of why I was so excited to open it.
I’m a roller girl. Rollers give me more volume than anything else I’ve tried, so the Sit Tight set was the first thing I clicked on.
Why Oval Rollers Caught My Eye
My usual routine is pretty simple. I put my hair in my regular rollers, then slide my Air 360 into the middle of each one. The hot air blows through, and as the roller cools down, the curl sets.
What makes these different is the shape. They’re oval instead of round, and that’s supposed to create a prettier, wavier curl with more lift. I didn’t even know oval rollers were a thing until this set.
The whole kit zips into a glossy red cosmetic bag. For a family that lives out of suitcases, anything that keeps ten rollers and ten clips from rolling around my bag is a win.
The Mane Ivy Hair Brush I Chose
My current round brush is a big 3 inch one I grabbed cheap at Sally’s. The Hard to Miss is a little smaller at 2.5 inches, and it already feels like a real upgrade in my hand. The handle has a textured grip, and the barrel is ceramic.
And the color palette. These reds are so pretty and so in right now.
What I’m Watching For
My one real worry is frizz. My hair frizzes really easily, and living somewhere humid doesn’t help. I’ll have to figure out whether my hair wants to participate with these rollers.
I’ll come back and update this with a full review once I’ve been using both for a while.
