What Is Wims?

Wims makes little snap and squeeze packets of THC and CBD that you mix into a drink. Each one has 4 milligrams of THC and 4 milligrams of CBD. You snap it in half, squeeze it into your glass, and that’s it. It’s a liquid instead of a gummy or a melt.

The liquid itself is a little milky. The box has an older, vintage vibe, and the whole packet concept is a fun design. It feels like Wims is trying to make THC and CBD feel trendy.

Does Wims Get You High?

In testing, one packet felt mild. It’s more of a relaxed feeling than a big high. With only 4mg of THC per packet, you’d probably notice it more with two back to back.

It also seemed to kick in faster than a gummy. Wims says that’s because the hemp extract is nano-emulsified, and it lists the effects as usually felt in 10 to 15 minutes. Testing has been light so far, and there’s plenty of product left to go.

What Are Wims Packets Mixed With?

That was our first question too. We weren’t sure if Wims meant for you to mix it into alcohol, a mocktail, or just water. Wims lists all of those, from cocktails and mocktails to seltzer, soda and coffee.

Wims Unflavored Pocket-Tonic

The Unflavored Pocket-Tonic comes in the blue packets. In testing, it wasn’t bad at all, and we didn’t notice much of an aftertaste. It’s an easy pick if you only want a little or plan to stir it into something you already like.

Wims Lemon Basil Pocket-Tonic

The Lemon Basil Pocket-Tonic tastes pretty good. It’s very basil-y and not too lemony. The one catch is the finish. After you swallow, there’s an herby, weedy taste at the end. If you like herby drinks, this is the one.

Wims Ginger Lime Pocket-Tonic

We only got a few of the Ginger Lime Pocket-Tonic packets. In testing, we snapped one into a glass over an ice cube and topped it with about 3 to 4 ounces of sparkling mineral water. There isn’t much liquid in each packet, so a small glass is plenty.

It’s heavy on the ginger and even turns the drink a ginger color. It’s more spicy than sweet, and it hits you in the back of the throat. There’s no weedy taste at all. If you like ginger and don’t want to taste the THC, this is the flavor to get.

The Wims Koozie

The box came with a little Wims koozie from the Summer Bundle. It says “Legalize Leisure” on the front and has a pocket that holds a few of these snap and squeeze packets.

The Wims Tin

Wims also sent the Wims Tin. It holds about three or four packets. It’s low-key, so nobody really knows what’s inside.

What We’re Watching For

Our worry is the packets themselves. If you throw them loose in a backpack or a purse, they could pop open on you. That’s probably why the tin comes with it. We’ll see how they hold up in a bag.
