The Edit: Our Military Space-A to Asia vlog series follows our family as we hop free military flights all the way to Singapore, with each of the 6 days filmed on TikTok. The route took us from Hickam in Hawaii to Guam, then from Guam (Andersen AFB) to Yokota Air Base in Tokyo, Japan, and finally from Yokota to Paya Lebar in Singapore. Along the way we learned that Hickam Passenger Terminal has a military Uber that allows certain drivers on base in the middle of the night and one of the better family rooms we have seen, and that the Hale Koa is a military resort in Hawaii with rooms based on your rank. At Yokota, the terminal buses you to a private immigration and customs area, a base shuttle runs every 15 minutes to food options, and U.S. citizens get 90 days visa free in Japan. Space-A is not always unicorns and rainbows, but you can fly it if you are flexible.
