Free Flights with Military Space-A

If you haven’t tried Space-Available (Space-A) flights yet, this is hands-down one of the biggest travel perks for military families.

Space-A (aka: Mac Flights, Hops) lets eligible service members, retirees, and their dependents fly on military aircraft for free or for just a few dollars in fees! Often to international destinations like Germany, Japan, Hawaii, Guam, and more. 100% rated total veterans and surviving spouses can also take these flights to all 50 States and US Territories.

It’s not always predictable (you fly when seats are available), but when it works, it can save you thousands in airfare. Our family has flown all over the world using Space-A, including full trans-Pacific routes that would’ve cost over $10,000 commercially.
