The kids’ club swimming pool area features an expansive water park playground with bucket splashes and thrilling water slides, offering endless fun for both kids and adults. Additionally, there’s a separate shallow pool for younger children who are still learning to swim.
They’re a prominent tour operator in the region, and we’ve relied on them for our excursions. Trustworthy and well-established, they’re a legitimate choice in Cabo. Also, check with your all-inclusive resorts, as they may have exclusive partnerships offering better deals through their concierge.

Wild Wet Fun Water Park is one of the only theme parks in the Los Cabos area. We have wanted to visit the water park in the mountains for a while now and is the perfect place to escape the bustle of the city for a long day in the water park. This is one of two water parks in the Cabo area.
The water park boasts numerous water slides and nine distinct themed areas, providing ample entertainment for families. It’s a fantastic spot for quality time, complete with food options like any other theme park.
For a family adventure to a remote waterfall in Baja, this spot is a must-visit. We drove our truck from La Paz and back in a day, navigating a well-maintained dirt road that’s easily manageable even in a rental car.
The entrance fee was minimal, and the hike down to the creek was stunning. The water originates from a spring further up the mountain. We chose a quiet day to visit, so it wasn’t crowded, making for a truly enjoyable experience.
As we left, we took a moment to observe the animals on the property. The goats, though in a pen, were curious and approached us. Meanwhile, the geese and peacocks roamed freely. The turtle pond was particularly popular with kids, as it was teeming with them.
Todos Santos is a charming destination known for its warm hospitality and attracts many winter vacationers from the USA and Canada.
Indulge in luxurious resorts, savor delicious meals at top-notch restaurants, and enjoy live music at various bars and eateries for an unforgettable family getaway in Todos Santos. We stayed at the Mucho Bueno hotel, if you want to read more on the hotel check out this blog post!

If you’re traveling between Los Barillas and San Jose Del Cabo, make a quick stop at the Trópico de Cáncer memorial. It’s a great place for snapping some pictures and stretching your legs. Plus, there’s a bathroom available.
This pit stop marks the latitude where the sun is directly overhead during the June solstice. It’s a nerdy, sciencey stop, perfect for enthusiasts. While not one of the main tourist attractions, it offers a unique experience for those interested.
Baja offers numerous spots for surfing and water sports. Shipwrecks, Cerritos, and Scorpion Bay are popular surf destinations. Winter swells from the north dominate the Pacific Ocean, while Scorpion Bay is ideal for south swells.
Los Cabos offers a plethora of water activities. One of our favorites is watching windsurfers ride the gentle waves along the beautiful beaches in the South Cape area.
Addy, our friend Cammi, and I had a blast snorkeling at the Cabo Pulmo Reef one afternoon from our sailboat. It’s part of the UNESCO world heritage site network, and we saw a massive school of Trevally fish along with colorful reef fish.
Sport fishing is a popular activity in the area, with the best time to catch certain fish species varying throughout the year. For Marlin, October is prime time, while Yellowtail can be caught all winter. Tuna is available year-round on the Pacific Coast, with certain months offering better chances.
You and your family can embark on a unique adventure riding camels on the beach, a one-of-a-kind experience between Todos Santos and Los Cabos. Your kids will love exploring the coastline during this memorable tour, unlike anything else in Mexico or North America.
During our camel safari, we spotted horses in holding pens, indicating horseback riding is also available at this location. While camel rides offer kid pricing, it seems horseback riding does not, based on online information.

You’ll have a blast admiring the butterflies! Take your time on the trail. The butterflies are everywhere. Enjoy gazing at these beautiful creatures throughout your journey!
After hiking or horseback riding up to the main attraction, local families near the entrance offer tasty bites. We savored homemade dishes cooked over a wood stove by a local family and is one of the best restaurants in the area.
We stayed at a gem of a resort called Agua Blanca Hotel. We enjoyed our free time here and the following day we got to climb an ancient pyramid.
The temazcal was a unique experience for the entire family. Just inform them a day in advance so they can arrange everything for your visit.
Participating in the sweat lodge event was a great way to dive into Mexican culture. It promotes blood circulation, and soul cleansing, and offers therapeutic benefits.
We were warmly welcomed into the ceremony, which lasted about 90 minutes. If the heat becomes uncomfortable, you’re free to leave at any time during the sweat lodge experience.
After stumbling upon a sign for ancient ruins, we stayed at a nearby hotel and visited the ancient archaeological site the next day. Welcomed warmly by the caretaker, we explored the fascinating archaeological site and learned its history!
Exploring the pyramid was a major highlight, immersing us in Mexican culture. If you’re nearby, don’t miss this unique experience, especially since climbing San Juan Teotihuacán’s pyramid was restricted during our visit.
Grutas Tolantango offers a family-friendly experience with amenities like hot spring areas, water slides, and soaking pools. It’s an unforgettable experience perfect for all ages to enjoy especially the small children.
Before heading to Grutas Tolantango, we stayed in Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo, the nearest town. The scenic drive through the Sierra Madre Mountains provides stunning views en route to the hot springs.
Remember to bring cash when visiting Grutas Tolantongo, as it’s cash-only. The closest ATM is located in the city of Ixmiquilpan, so make sure to withdraw cash beforehand.
Exploring the local markets in San Miguel de Allende is a must for trying local cuisine. With its 17th-century Spanish charm, the town offers a delightful blend of smells and flavors that you won’t want to miss.
The cobblestone streets and vibrant colonial buildings in San Miguel de Allende are perfect for Instagram. Every corner is a photo opportunity, and we even got a snapshot with Herieth Paul!
Exploring Mexico City on a family vacation offers endless possibilities. We aimed to visit the Frida Kahlo house, but prebooking tickets is key for this attraction.
Another must-visit in Mexico City is Bosque De Chapultepec, a sprawling park with the National Museum of Anthropology and Chapultepec Castle. With lakes, a botanic garden, and sports facilities, it’s a perfect spot for families.
Puerto Vallarta is a fantastic spot for a Mexico family vacation. Enjoy whale watching tours in Banderas Bay during the winter months. We were fortunate to join some sailboat friends for day sails, giving us a close encounter with humpback whales.
