Snoozy Non-THC Gummies: Double Dose, Deep Sleep?

Alex tried both Mellow Mind and Bedtime Buddy after dinner, about ten minutes apart. He will be first to admit it was a messy test, since he doubled up and was already tired. About half an hour in he felt mellow and a little removed, aware but relaxed, not knocked out.

The Flavors, Honestly

We only speak to what we actually tasted, so here is the real read. Alex ran the taste test on Mellow Mind and Bedtime Buddy.

Mellow Mind is the strawberry one, and the smell hits the second you open the bag. The gummies are dark little sugar-coated cubes, not bright red, which fits the no-artificial-colors claim.

How They Taste

Mellow Mind tastes like a good average strawberry gummy. Alex compared it to the sugar-coated fruit chews a cyclist eats for energy on a ride. The strawberry sits at a light-to-medium intensity. Nothing overpowering, nothing weak, just right.

Bedtime Buddy is the raspberry one, and it is the weaker of the two. It smells like a blackberry and raspberry mix. The taste leans syrupy and a bit artificial, with some bitterness on the finish. Flavor lands around a three out of five for us, and the bitter note about a four.

One quirk worth noting. Mellow Mind and Bedtime Buddy are the same dark color, so you cannot tell them apart by sight. The smell is the only tell.

The Mellow Mind Bag Drove Us Nuts

Every honest review needs the thing that bugged us. For us it is the Mellow Mind pouch, which is a real pain to open.

The resealable zipper runs right along the top edge of the bag. There is almost nothing above the zipper to pinch, so you cannot grip it to pull the seal apart from the top. We ended up grabbing below the zipper line and working it open from underneath.

It is small, but you open this bag daily, so it adds up. Bedtime Buddy felt a little easier, though we are not sure if that was the packaging or just how we tore in. We kept going because the gummies are good, but a little more material above that zipper would fix it.
